WORKFLOW was designed to be a simple but effective computer based tool for the management of a Service Environment.  Workflow is a product of Workflow Software Australia and is marketed & distributed by Brendan Bourke, Mobile Digital Communications, QLD, +61 7 3275 3555.

It’s simple task in life is to provide a means of recording, tracking, invoicing and reporting on work as it flows through a Service environment. In conjunction with the work ticket environment are supporting Employee, Customer, Equipment & Parts databases that can be equally reported on.

Limited Fixed reports are available to provide summaries on Cycle Time & Bounce Rate, Over 1 week (backlog), Waiting Parts, etc, as well a simple List Builder is incorporated for simple list type reports, plus, a more capable general ad-hoc Report Generator is supplied.

Additional customized reports can be constructed and added permanently to the program if required.

The program is DOS based however it will run perfectly well under Windows as well in a Multi-User, NetBios compatible Network environment. Mouse support is of course present but not necessary. The program is compiled in Clipper Ò , a database language program but using FoxPro compound indexes’ for speed and compactness, and although currently ‘DOS’ based, a WindowsÒ specific version is under development.

Workflow is designed for a ‘paper free’ workshop environment.

As supplied Workflow provides for four simultaneous users.

Changes to the core Workflow product will only be made on the basis of it’s applicability to all Users/Customers. Additional support programs, e.g. import/export, reports, etc, may be developed on request for a fee.

Workflow was publicly released on 1 Feb’97.
